And with the Sydney housing market on the rise once more - RP Data predicts the most expensive homes will rise 10 per cent to 15 per cent this year - expats are arriving in increasing numbers from around the world to buy houses, even if they're not planning to settle here just yet.

Sunshine Coast is growing

A recent survey has found that Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane all feature within the top 25 cities out of over 200, and ahead of cities like San Francisco, Paris, London and Montreal.
